Authentic Buka Stew – Nigerian Local Stew By Zeelicious Foods

Buka Stew is a very popular Nigerian delicacy that is celebrated for its rich taste, and soupy texture. Buka stew is less spicy than (other) Nigerian stews because it does not have the spicy coconut sauce like pepper soup, but it can nevertheless be spiced up to one’s liking by adding more chilli.
In Nigeria, it was traditionally made in large pots and cooked outside over a wood fire. Traditionally stew’s nutrition value, preparation size and complexity all play an important role - since there were rarely any modern conveniences people used highly spiced versions with more vegetables while they had the money to buy ingredients like black pepper or curry powder
