One of the most well-known traditional Tunisian recipes are the briks.

There are many varieties of the briks depending on the pastry or the stuffing.

I suggest β€œBrik Danouni”; beef-stuffed turnovers, oven-baked or fried, are usually presented as starters or appetizers.

Β 1 cup flour (125g)
Β 3 tbsp melted butter
Β Β½ tsp salt
Β 200ml of warm water (or a little more)
The Stuffing
Β 200g of ground beef
Β 1 boiled egg, shredded
Β Shredded cheese
Β Chopped parsley
Β Chopped onion
Β Capers
Β Olives, pitted and cut
Β 1 egg, beaten

Ingredients
