Traditional Kenyan nyama na irio is a simple dish made with potatoes, corn, and green peas. It must be soaked before cooking, and green peas can be substituted for red kidney beans.

 1 Pkg. Frozen Peas
 1 Can Corn, drained (16 oz.)
 4-6 Potatoes
 3-4 T. Butter
 1/4-1/2 C. Heavy Cream
 Freshly Ground Pepper
 Fresh Parsley (for garnish)
For the Steak and Onions
 2 lbs. Filet Mignon (may substitute sirloin) (cut in bite size pieces)
 2 T. Unsalted Butter
 4-6 Onions (sliced)
 2 T. Unsalted Butter
 2 tbsp Olive Oil
 2-3 T. Flour (Wondra)
 Freshly Ground Pepper
