Nkwobi is a Nigerian delicacy that is usually ordered and enjoyed in exclusive restaurants.

It is simply cooked cow foot mixed in spicy palm oil paste. Nkwobi is often mistaken forΒ Isi EwuΒ but they are not the same.

Β 2 kg cow foot (cut into sizable pieces)
Β 200 ml Palm Oil
Β 1 tbsp powdered edible potash (Akanwu/Kaun/Keun)
Β 1 tsp ground Ehu seeds (Calabash Nutmeg)
Β 2 tbsp ground crayfish
Β 2 habanero peppers (or to your taste)
Β 1 medium onion
Β 2 big stock cubes
Β Salt (to taste)
To garnish
Β 1 medium onion
Β 10 Utazi leaves (Gongronema latifolium)

Ingredients

Β 2 kg cow foot (cut into sizable pieces)
